Billy Blackburn
Chief Executive Officer

Billy has been with the company since September 9, 1996. Prior to that he worked for Square D. In addition to CEO of PL&E Sales, Inc., he serves as our representative in the Cooper Rep Council and covers Eastern North Carolina from Raleigh to the coast in Field Sales.

Rodney Mathis
Chief Operating Officer

Rodney has been with the company since August 4, 2004. Prior to that he worked for a General Contractor, Consulting Engineering Firm, and a Textile Automation company. In addition to COO of PL&E Sales, Inc., he functions as the Area Sales Manager in the Carolinas for ASCO Power Technologies and covers Western North Carolina from Salisbury to Cherokee in Field Sales.

Mark Freeman
Inside Sales

Mark has been with the company since Janurary 22, 2003. Prior to that he worked for Graybar as a Supervisor. His main role is quotations and project management for ASCO Power Technologies.

Brian Tredup
Inside Sales

Brian has been with the company since March 21, 2022. Prior to that he worked for Eaton in the Cooper Power proposals group. His main role is quotations and project management for Cooper Power and Federal Pacific.

Krista Hackney
Inside Sales/Office Manager

Krista has been with the company since September 6, 2016. Prior to that she was a Assistant to the Director of Preschool as well as an entrepreneur. Her many roles include Office Management, Inside Sales Support, and Entertainment Organizer.

Nathan Byars
Field Sales Engineer

Nathan has been with the company since October 1, 2018. Prior to that he worked for ASCO Power Services as a Technician and Sales Engineer. His role is to cover Central North Carolina from Salisbury to Raleigh in Field Sales.

Will Furse
Field Sales Engineer

Will has been with the company since October 5, 2020. Prior to that he worked for Eaton in Construction and Solar sales. His role is to cover South Carolina in Field Sales.

ABOUT

Purser, London and Edwards was founded in April of 1910 by John Purser, John London, and William Edwards. By 1986, the then current shareholders thought it best to shorten the corporation name to PL&E Sales, Inc. since the old name sounded like a law firm. You don't want to sound like a law firm calling on potential clientele. Over the years, PL&E Sales has represented many companies in the construction and industrial fields from mechanical to electrical to automation suppliers.

Any rep firm can gather lines and sell but what happens when something inevitably happens?

We pride ourselves on being able to answer the technical questions and be on site for our customers and manufacturers to act as the true field sales office in the Carolinas.

Today at PL&E Sales; we continue to have succession plans in place to make sure that our company and the manufacturers we represent are in a better place as we move forward into a new electrical energy grid landscape.
